Song
Here is the song of the Coat of Hopes, sung each time it is worn, declaring its work on its journey...
To be sung in whichever register is most comfortable for the singer
Since the Coat of Hopes is now on an ongoing walk throughout the land, the Song has a new first verse. In this new verse the first line changes daily in acknowledgement of that days destination, and the end destination of that particular “walk”, which is to say section of the journey between resting places of several days...
The new first verse is dedicated to Helen Locke.
(words in italics to be replaced as appropriate)
Chorus
To Cumbernauld today then East to Edinburgh I’m bound
Worn and walked along my way when those willing can be found
In truth my destination is each person that I meet
The turning of our future is on all our backs and feet
