Patch 087

PATCH MAKER: Sarah
LOCATION: Chesham
MESSAGE:
Before deciding on my design, I went for a walk to one of my favourite spots near my house. I live in the Chilterns and there is a view point over some hills and valleys close to where I live. It's stunning and my favourite place near by. Whenever I go there, I feel peaceful and relaxed. 

After this walk, I returned to make my patch, painfully aware of the threat facing the Chilterns and more generally, our planet. I wanted to make a patch which would show the peace and calm I feel when I'm looking over the Chilterns. I decided not to replicate the view but rather to capture my feelings when I'm looking out at the view. 

My hope for the future is that the next generations will get to see the same view and feel that same peace. My hope is that they will see wild flowers framing hills and valleys alive with wildlife. My hope is that they won't have to live with a fear of extinction, but a life of excitement.
