LOCATION: Milton keynes
MESSAGE:
Milton Keynes was envisioned as a green city, a city of 1 million trees with lakes and ribbon parks and retaining the original villages and towns within its boundary. I like living in Milton Keynes and hope it will set an innovative course to become carbon neutral. So, the focus of my design is my idea of a peaceful, urban idyll where nature and the built environment coexist respecting each other's needs, finding ways to inhabit a place constructively without harming each other. I tried to make a happy, tranquil scene where fossil fuels are metaphorically chained in the ground and left untapped, wind turbines for electricity, water in lakes, trees and wild spaces, housing with solar panels and roads with traffic calming so children can play on them.
